Anti-Spam Policy
Publishers depend on readers who choose them. Mail that chases people who did not choose them damages the publisher and everyone else who sends through our systems. We therefore treat unsolicited mail as a reason to end the cooperation.
What we commit to
- Subscriber mail goes to people with a current or recently ended subscription to that publication.
- Promotional mail requires separate consent, recorded with date and source.
- Reader lists of one publication are not combined with those of another title.
- Publishers may not upload lists from competitions, events or data brokers.
What we refuse
- Win-back campaigns to former subscribers years after they left.
- Disguising an offer as a renewal or payment notice.
- Renewal notices without a working way to cancel.
- Sending under a name that hides the publication.
How reports are handled
- We confirm receipt and identify publisher and mailing from the headers.
- If the report is plausible, the mailing is paused while we review it.
- Confirmed abuse ends our service to the publisher; the address receives no further mail through us.
- Blocklist operators can request the details at the address below.
Report a message
If you received subscriber mail without being a subscriber, send it to us with all header lines. We will find the publisher and the reason.
